The goal of this project was to create bases for two existing trophies to be used in a company golf tournament. The requesters wanted the bases to be large to continually add plaques with each year’s winner. I decided to use a dense sign foam to construct the bases and use the CNC router to cut the material.

Since the foam was two inches thick, I broke the design down into four separate layers and used screws and silicone to combine them. After painting, I designed laser-engraved plaques to mark each trophy.
